Revolution Is A Topical Parasiticide That Is Applied To The Skin Of Dogs Six Weeks Of Age And Older And Cats Eight Weeks Of Age And Older. Revolution is used To Prevent Heartworm Disease. Revolution Kills Adult Fleas And Prevents Flea Eggs From Hatching. Revolution Controls and Treats Ear Mite Infestation. Revolution Treats And Controls Sarcoptic Mange and The American Dog Tick. Revolution is also used on cats to treat roundworm And hookworm. The primary use associated with Revolution is flea control and is not a pesticide. Revolution kills both the eggs and the adult fleas, effectively stopping the flea life cycle and protecting your pet. Revolution flea control medication is fast, simple and easy to use with a low-volume dosage size. Revolution is so convenient that you only need to apply the medication in one spot on your pet. Revolution also can prevent your pet from developing heartworms. If the Revolution is replacing another heartworm medication used for prevention you must apply Revolution within a month of the last dose of the other heartworm medication to continue the protection given to your pet.

Revolution is applied to the skin on the back at the base of the neck once a month, in cats and dogs. Apply the contents in one spot and do not massage in. The animal may be bathed or allowed to swim 2 hours after the medication is applied. Spot on applicators are portioned based on the pet’s weight; cats up to 5 pounds and 5.1-15 pounds; for dogs up to 5 pounds, 5.1-10 pounds, 10.1-20 pounds, 20.1-40 pounds, 40.1-85 pounds and 85.1-130 pounds. Side effects when using Revolution may include temporary hair loss, loss of appetite, drooling, vomiting, diarrhea, drowsiness, rapid breathing, increased heart rate, and muscle tremors. Do not use Revolution in animals allergic to it. Do not use on puppies under 6 weeks or kittens under 8 weeks of age. Use with caution in sick, weak or underweight animals. Revolution appears to be safe to use in pregnant or lactating dogs or cats. Do not apply to wet hair. Dogs should be tested for existing heartworm disease prior to using Revolution.

Valuheart (Monthly): This product is a generic alternative to Heartgard. It is a monthly medication for the prevention of heartworm disease. Each pack contains 6 tablets.

K9 Advantix: Topical prevention and treatment of ticks, fleas and mosquitoes. For monthly use on dogs. Repels and kills ticks including those that may transmit lyme disease. Kills 98-100% of fleas within 12 hours.

Deramaxx (Deracoxib): Deramaxx is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) belonging to the COX 2 inhibitor class of medications. This medication is similar to the human medications Celebrex and Vioxx. It is FDA approved for use in dogs for the control of pain and inflammation associated with orthopedic surgery.
