90mg for Small Dogs and Cats: up to 12 lbs. Give 1 tablet daily
225mg for Medium Dogs: 13-34lbs. Give 1 tablet daily
425mg for Larger dogs 35lbs and greater: 35 - 65 lbs: Give 1 tablet daily 66 - 120 lbs: Give 2 tablets daily 121 lbs and over: Give 3 tablets daily
If giving more than 1 tablet per day, divide dose between AM and PM.
Optimal absorption of SAMe occurs in the small intestine. For this reason, tablets are enteric coated to protect the ingredients from stomach acid. Do not crush or break tablets, as this damages the enteric coating and thereby inhibits absorption.
For best results, give on an empty stomach one hour prior to feeding.
