Chemical Name: DORZOLAMIDE (dor-ZOLE-a-mide) and TIMOLOL (TIM-oh-lole)
Cosopt is used to treat eye conditions, including glaucoma and ocular hypertension. Cosopt lowers pressure in the eye by decreasing the production of natural fluids in the eye. Cosopt is used for patients whose eye condition has not responded to another medication.

DO NOT USE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU HAVE HAD A SEVERE ALLERGIC REACTION to this medicine or to a sulfonamide antibiotic (such as Septra DS, Bactrim DS, Gantrisin). A severe reaction includes a severe rash, hives, breathing difficulties, or dizziness. If you have a question about whether you are allergic to this medicine or if a certain medicine is a sulfonamide antibiotic, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while taking this medication include eyes burning or stinging, itchy eyes, dry eyes and dizziness.
