Heartworm disease is 100% preventable with the proper use of Heartgard Plus. Protect your pet from this potentially deadly disease with Heartgard Plus. Heartgard Plus is completely safe to use on your pet regardless of weight, breed or whether or not they are pregnant. Heartgard Plus is gentle enough to use on puppies six week old. To ensure your pet is properly protected Heartgard Plus is given to your pet once a month and use as otherwise directed. Before you start to protect your pet with Heartgard Plus your pet should be tested for existing heartworm disease.

One tablet a month year-round or during the mosquito season and for one month beyond mosquito season preferably on the same date each month. The tablet kills the parasites acquired during the previous month. If a dose is missed, give the tablet immediately and resume giving a tablet every 30 days (once a month).


Do not use in puppies or kittens less than 6 weeks of age. Considered to be safe to use in pregnant and lactating animals (female animals nursing their young). Consult with your veterinarian regarding necessary physical examinations and heartworm testing necessary prior to and during treatment with heartworm medications.
